Your Questions About the Election

On this page, we answer questions openly and transparently that have been raised about our candidacy and the list election.

After the election, all elected works council members work together, regardless of the list they were elected from.

What matters is not the list, but the mindset: cooperation, respect and solutions in the interest of all employees.

Different lists can help bring in more perspectives and make decisions more transparent.

From the very beginning, we stand for: openness, transparency and constructive cooperation – and that remains our approach after the election.

Some people claim that we submitted our list “too late” and acted uncollegially.

The fact is: both our list and list 1 were submitted on the last day, only a few minutes apart – both fully within the deadline.

Submitting lists on the last day is common in the election process, as within this short period candidates must be found, signatures collected and all documents properly prepared.

We completed this process properly and on time.

No.

Who gets elected to the works council is determined by the election result – and the order on each list.

The positions on all lists are deliberately set before submission. This means it is clear from the beginning: candidates in lower positions always carry a risk of not being elected.

The order of lists supported by the IG BCE is usually decided by the trade union representatives.

What matters is: It is not our list that determines individual positions – but the structure of each list itself.
